NPC Thoth can be found in H3 (20,23) or Babel (18,21) though currently NPC Thoth is broken in babel.
-talk to Thoth
-talk to Thoth again, he will give you 2 options:
1. I'll make it
    Quest: talk to plasma in Suginami and Nakano
    Collect:
       -empty can: oolong tea x12 (suginami)
       -broken mug: medium x12 (nakano)
       -broken mobile phone g207x x8 (nakano)
       -deteriorated tire: slick x12 (nakano)

2. I'll borrow it

     Quest: Go to Celu Bronze and Kill Embodiment of Form Hathor x1

HINT: JUST DO THIS ONE IT'S EASIER...lol

-after you hand in the quest talk to Thoth

-you can enter an instance to kill Anubis (easy it took my morri 1 shot) 

-talk to Thoth again he will give you Summon PG (Wise Anubis)

-when you talk to Thoth again he will give you a random quest and you can now enter Ordeal of Soul to gather Ankh of Life

Quest Options:
    Quest: talk to plasma in Suginami and Nakano

    Collect:
       -empty can: oolong tea x2 (suginami)
       -broken mug: medium x2 (nakano)
       -broken mobile phone g207x x1 (nakano)
       -deteriorated tire: slick x2 (nakano)

    Quest: go to suginami bronze and kill 1 Great Beast Garm

    Quest: bring Thoth an elemental (erthys/aquans/aeros/flamies)
    Quest: give Thoth a Holy Water (bought in item shop other than Protopia)
    Quest: Craft Machete or Sergei Emile
Reward: 20 Ankhs; repeatable; limit 3 quest/day
If you don't like your quest option, just junk it and re-get the quest. maybe keep trying to get the garm one

-after completing 1 instance of Ordeal of Soul, the Ankh of Life trade shop is now open

-DS [Anubis] -2400 Ankh - HP+100, Speed +10

-Summon PG (One Who Passes Judgement) -800 Ankh -Wise Anubis (same one you got earlier)

-Summon PG (Judgement) -300 Ankh -Wise Hathor, Wise Apis, Wise Thoth

-Epitaph Part (Judgement) -150 Ankh - XP+10%, close range damage +5%

-Epitaph Part (Prophecy) -150 Ankh - XP+10%, long range damage +5%

-Epitaph Part (Protection) -150 Ankh - XP+10%, spell damage +5%

-Anubis' Head Ornament -200 Ankh -basic attributes: phys/mag def+2 close/long range/spell dmg+3% expel/curse +8% set bonus: when worn with anubis' shawl, you can use the skill "魂の断罪"

-Anubis' Shawl -200 Ankh -basic attributes: close/long range/spell dmg+5% expel/curse +10% special: partners fire/ice/wind skill effect +5% set bonus: when worn with anubis' head ornament, you can use the skill "魂の断罪"

-Scale of Judgement -8000 Ankh - anubis plug-in/DF item, long range +10%, long range upper limit +10%

魂の断罪: Nerve AOE Shot (similar to cotw), costs HP/MP 20%
